Lily Cornejo (she/they)

Life is often unpredictable. We’re never given a script for “how to best live our lives,” and it can feel daunting and lonely to navigate without one. Therapy can be a space to explore the stories you’ve lived and what you want to write next, with greater trust and attunement to yourself. There can be something profoundly meaningful in having someone you can confide in, and I aim to provide a space that feels safe enough to explore what’s difficult, as well as what’s possible. As a Latinx and queer clinician, I understand the systemic challenges of living in our current environment. I’m guided by values of cultural humility and LGBTQIA+-affirming care. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, identity, culture, and stress-related concerns, and I’m passionate about acknowledging systemic barriers while working alongside you to keep finding ways to cultivate hope in your life.
In my practice, I use a humanistic, person-centered lens, integrated with trauma-informed and Internal Family Systems perspectives, to explore how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. I also draw from DBT, CBT, and culturally responsive approaches to offer tools that can support you in coping and making sense of past or present wounds. I believe you should have the autonomy to author your own story, even when the past feels heavy to carry. As a therapist, I see my role as walking alongside you, guiding you toward the meaningful changes you’d like to make and helping you explore parts of yourself you may not have had the opportunity to know more deeply. Every person is different, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I tailor our work to your needs, values, and what feels most meaningful to you.
Through my work with clients who have navigated traumatic experiences, I’ve come to deeply understand how trauma can shape our sense of self, our relationships with others, and the lens through which we see the world. You might feel stuck or unsure how to move forward when the past feels too heavy to carry. I ground my work in acceptance, trust, empathy, genuineness, and safety, and prioritize creating a space where those experiences and feelings can be explored with care. There is tremendous strength in letting someone new into your world. I’m here to support you on your journey, without judgment, because that is the bare minimum you deserve. I would be deeply humbled and honored to walk alongside you.
