Eventhough obstacles are expected parts of your journey, they may still leave you feeling stuck, discouraged, and helpless. In those overwhelming moments, connecting with support and care can help you navigate obstacles and provide a safe space to discover and become the best version of yourself. It can help you confront what may be holding you back in life and equip you with inner resources to move toward the life you desire.

In my practice, I use a person-centered approach to support your self-exploration, recognizing that you are the expert in your own life. I aim to create a space that feels safe and collaborative, where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I believe that stress is held both mentally and physically, and that bringing change in our lives often involves tending to both. Together, we can explore your feelings to help you gain insight into your inner world while also paying attention to how these inner experiences may show up in your body.

In my work, I use evidence-based CBT techniques to identify ways you may be engaging with unhelpful beliefs about yourself and the world, and aim to help you cultivate compassion towards yourself. I also incorporate elements of DBT to help strengthen emotional regulation and build distress tolerance when facing challenges. We can also collaboratively explore holistic practices that can support your therapy journey, such as mindfulness, meditation, or gentle movement like yoga, to support both emotional and physical release.

In my experience, I was privileged enough to work with individuals navigating unique challenges in life, including substance use, trauma, and grief. I have seen how, without supportive coping strategies, people may turn to patterns that no longer serve them. I believe therapy can be a great place to start helping ourselves acknowledge these experiences with care, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward a life we truly wish to live. By allowing yourself space to engage with your emotions openly and honestly, resilience can begin to take shape. Together, we can explore what resilience looks like for you and define what a meaningful life means to you.

I approach each session with curiosity, empathy, and respect for your unique experiences. My goal is to support you in developing insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating a compassionate balance in your life. I look forward to working together with you.
