Elisa Diaz (she/her)

Hi! I’m Elisa Diaz (she/her). I am a psychotherapy fellow at Roamers Therapy under the supervision of Shaysa Villa, LCSW.

Sometimes, it is normal and natural to feel overwhelmed and lost. During these moments, it is courageous to step toward your inner world and explore self-care and healing. Often, we can’t do it alone, and therapy can provide the structure and support to help you take that step. Therapy can be a journey where you feel understanding, compassion, and encouragement. Embarking on your journey toward better mental health is a courageous decision, and I engage with you in the process with eagerness and deep commitment to support you along the way. I understand the importance of establishing safety within our sessions. In our sessions, I will hold a safe space for you free from judgment. In turn, I invite you to come as you are.

When working together, I strive to offer an individualized and intentional connection centered around your needs and lived experiences. I prioritize forming a meaningful, genuine connection with you and aim for our work together to feel empowering and collaborative. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and holistic, where I incorporate aspects of different approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Method, as well as applying Art therapy interventions. While providing trauma-informed care, we will establish any concerns and difficulties you may be facing and determine helpful coping strategies that work for you.

I have experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds: youth, adolescents, and adults in an individual and family setting. Connecting with diverse populations allowed me to broaden my perspective and equipped me with valuable insight and empathy. My experience working with people of all ages helps me address several challenges more effectively, including anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, relationship struggles, grief, low self-esteem, and trauma. I genuinely believe that the therapeutic space is sacred, where your voice and the courage to speak your truth are met with my empathy and compassion. Collaboratively, we will explore your unique experiences, uncover your inner strengths, and work toward growth and healing.

In our sessions, we will explore this unique journey to uncover your strengths and growth areas. In our work together, we will build a strong therapeutic relationship to focus on improving your overall well-being and working on any challenges you are facing. By addressing these challenges, we will create a strong foundation for personal growth. Driven by the therapeutic modalities and our therapeutic relationship, I aim to support you through your journey to find and embrace your authentic self. We will overcome obstacles and challenges during our work and find hope and resilience. I am here to support and guide you through every stage of your journey.
