Nic Caravelli (He/Him/His)

Beginning therapy can often seem daunting. For many, considering therapy is the first time they may be admitting that something isn’t working, or that they aren’t feeling okay. In our sessions, I want to provide the space and time for you to begin sitting with that possibility and work together to understand those thoughts and feelings. There are many things outside our control, and at the same time, I believe you have the ability to determine what is within your control and to own your power. Together, we can work collaboratively to understand your experiences and use them to guide you into new, affirming spaces and connections. It is my hope that together we can learn and embrace what works for you and what does not – and help you feel like you are on a path to healing and growth that feels right for you.
It can be hard to open up to a new person, especially when discussing topics you may be struggling with. As your therapist, my goal is to meet you exactly where you are and learn what makes you feel at ease, so therapy feels helpful. Using an integrative approach, I draw on relational cultural theory, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, shaping my work around your unique needs. You know yourself best, and we can use that knowing to guide what therapy becomes for you.
Together, we can support you in navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, neurodivergence, identity and LGBTQ+ related concerns, as well as relationship challenges, family dynamics, and major life transitions. I believe we grow through the relationships we foster in our lives, and that our therapeutic relationship can serve as an example of the kind of growth that can also happen outside of our sessions. Whether you’re beginning therapy or returning to it, I look forward to connecting and working together.
