Relationship Issues Therapy in Chicago, Illinois

Our significant other(s) enrich our lived experiences by loving us, soothing our solitude, supporting us in life’s challenges, comforting us when we go through hard times, and challenging us to grow when we become stagnant. However, no relationship is immune to issues caused by internal conflict and external stressors. At times, a relationship may feel stagnant, challenging, resentful, testy, isolating, or even toxic. We may also receive feedback from our family or good friends regarding such issues in our relationships. At Roamers Therapy Chicago, we hope to help you identify your relationship issues in order to determine what changes or coping mechanisms can be utilized to improve your overall mental health and the quality of your relationship with your significant other(s).

Some examples of relationship issues may include miscommunication, prior trauma or traumatic events experienced during a relationship, frequent arguments, infidelity, lack of desire, financial conflicts, trust issues or jealousy, prenatal challenges, postpartum challenges, clashing parenting styles, boredom or monotony, growing apart, cultural issues, familial conflict, isolation, prolonged stress caused by outside factors, abuse, and incompatible expectations.

The treatment options that can help are individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, medication, support groups, and stress management techniques.

At Roamers Therapy we serve clients residing in Chicago experiencing relationship issues by offering and conducting psychotherapy, couples counseling, education on stress management techniques, and referrals to support groups. In addition, we may also assess and make referrals for you to seek medication if we notice you would benefit from medication, if appropriate and deemed medically necessary.
