Life Transitions Therapy in Chicago, Illinois

Throughout life, we experience life transitions that require change, and with change comes challenges. While some life transitions bring us joy and excitement, they may also bring increased anxiety, stress and depression. These changes may be anticipated or unanticipated events as well. The challenges associated with life transitions impact us differently as we all have unique life experiences. At Roamers Therapy Chicago, we hope to help you prepare for, go through, and process these life transitions while providing tools for healthy coping mechanisms and stress management techniques.

Some examples of life transitions include new relationships, marriages, separations, or reconnections, career or educational changes, becoming a new parent, caretaker or empty nester, transitioning away from codependency, aging and life milestones, losing a loved one, as well as social, political, economic, or cultural changes.

The treatment options that can help are psychotherapy, medication, and support groups.

At Roamers Therapy, we serve clients residing in Chicago that are going through challenging life transitions by offering and conducting psychotherapy and referrals to support groups. In addition, we may also assess and make referrals for you to seek medication if we notice you would benefit from medication, if appropriate and deemed medically necessary.

We are proud and committed to take a culturally sensitive approach to help communities of color in Chicago such as Black, Indigenious, and People of Color (BIPOC) navigate how life transitions are experienced in their own unique way. We notice that there is a special approach to helping the BIPOC community navigate treatment for life transitions.

We encourage you to reach out and get acquainted with our therapists and book an initial appointment. We would be honored to share the journey and gift of therapy with you and help you manage the change and impact of life transitions.
